“Sa mBaile san Ind” is the story of Farah and Rebecca, two sisters from a village in the west of Ireland who make their first visit to their ancestral home in southern India. Farah and Rebecca Taqi were brought up in Connemara, an area steeped in Gaelic culture and heritage. Their mother is from a small Irish fishing village, where the girls spent their childhood. Their father however, hails from Hyderabad, one of the largest metropolis in India. The girls have never been to their fathers homeland and embark on a personal journey that will bring into question their sense of identity and their sense of belonging, while also exploring the realities of multicultural families living in Ireland today.
